SOCIAL IMPACT HACKATHONS

Affinis Labs brings together experience, passion, and networks of talent to generate innovative solutions to global challenges with our unique purpose-driven “hackathons” - intensive team competitions where ideas are prototyped, iterated, tested, and pitched to a live audience, an online crowd, and a panel of judges. Winning prototypes - and even some of the runners-up - are incubated, fully developed, and launched at Affinis Labs. From Sydney to Abu Dhabi, from Hollywood to Kampala, our hackathons leverage partners in the private and public sectors to build a foundation of support for our teams of entrepreneurs and creatives so that solutions have real world impact.

STARTUP ACCELERATION

At the end of the day, companies need to get their products & services into the hands of users. Affinis Labs helps innovative entrepreneurs take advantage of lucrative global market opportunities and grow their companies while providing social benefits to the markets they serve. Our first cohort of companies draws from Muslim American talent to target a global market of 500 million Muslim youth, who are upwardly mobile but lack an abundance of products & services that cater to their unique identities and needs.

COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGNS

One of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal is the creation of compelling narratives that drive our companies, redirect global conversations, inspire action, and build bridges between peoples. The team at Affinis Labs designs communications campaigns for social impact in collaboration with entrepreneurs and creatives from throughout the world by fusing public relations, social media, community engagement, partnership building, and grassroots collaboration.
To this end, we recently partnered with the team at the Gordian Institute to launch Applied Creative Artists, a unique, creative communications non-profit that leverages top talent from the entertainment industry to generate content and build and execute social impact campaigns. |
